Santala Uluwatu 3 Bedroom

Three-bedroom Santala villa in Uluwatu, 168m² build. Open-plan living runs directly onto the pool deck through floor-to-ceiling glass sliders. Warm timber accents inside, white walls and clean lines outside.

Santala fits three bedrooms and a roof terrace onto a 100 m² plot in Uluwatu by stacking the plan and keeping the ground floor open to a slim pool. The pool is tiled in green stone with a dark stone edge, and a cushioned lounger sits in the shallow water at its far end. A timber deck runs between the water and the house, where a rattan chair hangs beside a ground-floor bedroom that opens straight onto the pool through black steel sliders.

The wall plaster is coarse and textured, and its corners turn in soft curves, framing an arched niche of timber shelves on one side and an arched window in the bedroom. In the kitchen, a white island with a slatted timber front seats four under grass pendants, with the stair rising behind it. Bedrooms have exposed timber ceiling beams, and one sets the bed against an arched headboard wall clad in white stone.

A black steel spiral stair with timber treads climbs to the roof, the main outdoor room of this modern tropical villa. Under the covered section, fitted sofas face a square firepit, and beyond them a long stone dining table sits between timber-slat balustrade panels and a black steel planter of palms. The bathroom render places a freestanding stone tub on a jute rug beside a stone-clad shower.
