Solas Uluwatu

Completed three-bedroom villa in Uluwatu, 169m² over three levels. Floor-to-ceiling glass on the ground floor, two upstairs bedrooms with arched windows, rooftop lounge above the pool deck. Tropical Mediterranean detailing throughout: white walls, terrazzo pool, dark joinery, deep eaves for the south Bali sun.

A large arch is cut into the upper floor of Solas Uluwatu, framing a bedroom window behind a ledge planted with tall grasses, and the white volume around it has rounded-off corners. Below, the ground floor is almost entirely black steel grid glazing, two storeys high in places, under a slatted timber soffit, and a panel of textured white stone relief runs up beside the stair.

The kitchen island is a curved block of dark fluted timber with a white top and black cone pendants, and a green-cushioned lounge is sunk into the floor beside the glass. A white stair with black vertical balusters climbs past an arched, lit niche, and the doors are slatted timber. Bathrooms pair green-tiled showers with freestanding tubs, organic-shaped mirrors and double basins.

Outside, the small pool sits in pale paving, with a lit arch in the garden wall sheltering a cushioned daybed. The roof terrace is planned as a second living space for this three-bedroom Tropical Mediterranean villa in Uluwatu: a sunken L-shaped lounge under a timber pergola shaded with woven reed, a bar with a terrazzo counter and stools, and planting around the edges.
