Trikanda Villa

Trikanda Villa is a luxury modern tropical house, boasting multiple bedrooms and various lounging spots with sunken sofas. Its inviting and bold allure stems from blending beige, brown, and black, crafting an ambiance of sophistication. Wooden elements such as ceilings and furniture coalesce harmoniously with sleek black steel.

Three steep gables stand side by side on the front of Trikanda, a three-bedroom Modern Tropical villa design for Zanzibar, Tanzania. The middle one rises highest and carries a small balcony, and the two beside it are glazed almost to their peaks in black-framed grid glass. White structural frames divide the bays, and timber lines the deep eaves.

The ground floor is one open, double-height room behind full-height glass doors. A sunken lounge with dark upholstered seating steps down from the floor, a billiard table stands near the glazing, and a slab dining table on black steel legs sits under clustered rattan pendants. An open stair with black steel stringers climbs through the void. Outside, a timber deck with loungers runs beside a compact pool.

At the top of the house, a loft lounge sits right under the exposed roof structure, with woven panels between the rafters and a wall of shelving. The bedrooms use dark woven headboards, louvred timber wardrobes and rattan-fronted consoles. Several face the glazed gable ends, and one has its own black spiral stair.
