Santala's one-bedroom villa in Uluwatu is designed around a single gable. The front is a timber-lined frame inside a white rendered edge, and almost the whole end wall is glass, so the stair, kitchen shelving and pendants are visible from the pool. A hanging rattan chair sits under the eave beside the door.

Outside, the Modern Tropical plan fits a lot onto a 104 m² plot. The pool has a cushioned sun pad set in the water, and one side is a glass panel looking into a sunken lounge with a long white sofa. At the back, a pale random-stone wall carries an outdoor shower, with fabric draped across a light timber pergola above the seating. A freestanding bath stands on a timber deck surrounded by planting.

Inside, pale timber joinery runs from the kitchen to full-height shelving, and an open-tread timber stair with black balusters rises in front of a white textured wall. The bedroom sits under the pitched ceiling with a timber four-poster bed and woven wall plates. The bathroom pairs a round mirror and timber vanity with a white breeze-block screen.
