Calma Villa

This villa brings a Mediterranean dream to life with its signature white facade, arched doorways, and lush palms framing every angle. Right from the entrance, it feels like a peaceful escape - private, elegant, and sun-drenched. The arched windows and doors let in soft natural light, while the curves in the structure give everything a romantic, relaxed feel.

From the street, Calma shows two white boxes and very few openings. One tall arched window runs the full height of the house and a smaller arch frames a balcony draped in trailing plants, while screens of circular breeze blocks let air through and keep the rooms private. A panel of rough stone marks the entrance in the boundary wall, and the car court is paved in grey cobbles.

On the garden side, the four-bedroom plan opens onto the pool. Its shallow end is curved, and the wall behind it is cut into three arches lined with stone: one holds an outdoor shower, one a cushioned daybed and the third a hanging rattan chair, with bougainvillea spilling over the top. Arched glass doors in black steel frames run along the house, so the main rooms face the water.

Stone-clad arches reappear indoors as feature walls in the bedrooms and the living room, where a sunken lounge is set into the floor, and they give this Modern Tropical villa in Bali a strong Mediterranean accent. The kitchen island is faced in fluted timber, with a curved white stair rising behind it to the upper floor. The bathrooms pair freestanding tubs with timber towel ladders and slate-grey floors.
