Modern Tropical
Villa Athena
About the Project
Modern Tropical
Design
Three-bedroom Villa Athena, 250m² build across multiple levels. Plan is laid out as a connected sequence of living and lounging zones rather than discrete rooms. The rooftop is a full-floor outdoor space with the panoramic outlook.
Villa Athena climbs its site in terraces. Each floor of the three-bedroom Modern Tropical design for Bali sets back from the one below, and the ledges are planted with ornamental grasses behind glass balustrades with timber handrails. The street side is more closed: a white upper box, a timber-clad panel and a grey ground floor with a carport.
Inside, living, dining and kitchen share one floor under a woven ceiling panel lit around its edge. A floating stair with dark treads and a screen of thin steel rods rises in front of a rough stone wall, starting from a terrazzo step beside a planted bed. The kitchen island is terrazzo too, set against warm timber cabinetry.
Outside, a narrow pool lies along a tall grey boundary wall, with a timber deck and loungers at the house end. On an upper terrace, a swing daybed hangs on ropes from the timber ceiling. The bedrooms have concrete-textured feature walls hung with woven discs, and the bathrooms pair terrazzo vanities and vessel basins with a freestanding bath and black shower fittings.
