Casa Petak 3 Bedroom is one of the villa types Balitecture designed for the Casa Petak development in Bali, and the photographs here are of the house as it stands. The living wing is one long room under a ceiling of narrow timber boards, glazed along its pool side and closed at the far end by a timber-clad pier. Kitchen, dining island and sunken lounge run in a single line, so from the island the view carries past the lounge and through the open glass to the planting.

Outside, the pool runs the length of the living wing on a pale travertine deck, with a natural stone feature wall at the end and dense banana and palm planting along the boundary. A white two-storey block with an arched upper window closes the view. After dark, the lit pool lies in front of a fully glazed living room.

Across the three bedrooms, the Tropical Mediterranean style comes down to white walls and a few warm materials. Arched black-framed windows or lit arched niches sit above the beds, with woven grass pendants on either side and clay pots in the bedside recesses. Some rooms have exposed timber beams overhead, and several open through glass doors onto the garden or the pool. The bathrooms set long stone vanities and backlit mirrors opposite freestanding tubs against a bed of growing bamboo.
