Modern Tropical
Nanna Villa

About the Project
Modern Tropical
Design
Two-bedroom Villa Nanna, 145m² build. Facade combines warm timber tones with planted edges. Large glass doors run the full length of the pool elevation. Modern Tropical, 2023.
Nanna Villa sits behind a white garden wall with planted panels, and above it an angled roof and timber cladding mark the upper floor. The two-bedroom Modern Tropical design is drawn for a 121 m² plot in Bali, and most of its rooms look onto planting through black-framed glass.
The living room steps down into a sunken lounge with a long L-shaped bench and a pair of round timber side tables, beside full-height glass onto the garden. Timber cladding covers the TV wall. The kitchen has warm wood cabinetry up to the ceiling and a white island with a green-tiled end, and the dining nook next to it uses a fixed bench seat and a timber table under woven pendants.
A stair screened by vertical timber slats rises from a small planted bed. The bedrooms have floating platform beds, slatted timber wardrobe doors and glazing that reaches the floor. In the bathrooms, large pale stone-look tiles meet timber vanities and black tapware, and one bath sits right beside a window. Out the back, a narrow pool runs along the boundary wall to a daybed under a timber pergola.
