Villmar Bali

A whitewashed villa where Mediterranean detailing sits on top of a Balinese tropical floorplan. Arched windows on the facade, a private pool screened from the road, and gardens that wrap two sides. The pool deck and the living room share one continuous floor level so the inside and outside read as one room.

The street elevation of Villmar Bali is a white rendered box with one large arch cut into it. Inside the arch, a recessed balcony is lined with vertical timber slats and a glazed sliding door, and a planter along its lip lets greenery trail down the face of the wall. Below, a white boundary wall with a slatted timber gate and paired wall lights keeps the pool out of sight, and parking sits on grass-grid pavers.

The pool is a small plunge with a step-in ledge, tiled in green stone and set in pale stone paving. An outdoor shower stands against a stone-clad wall at one end, and at the other an arched niche holds a cushioned bench under a woven pendant. One bedroom's black steel sliders open directly onto the water. In the bedroom renders, beds sit beneath arched black grid windows between timber wardrobe columns, with round jute rugs underfoot.

The kitchen island is a grey block with five timber stools, set against a full-height timber panel under grass pendants, and the showers are walled in dark stone. On the roof, a pergola of bent timber rods shades loungers, a fitted sofa and a timber bar counter. Across three levels, the three-bedroom modern tropical plan has 180 square metres of floor area on a 110 m² plot.
