Villa Versailles
About the Project
Modern Tropical
Design
Villa Versailles brings together soft curves, natural textures, and tropical charm to create a cozy yet elevated space. The pool area is an absolute highlight, framed by Mediterranean-inspired arches and textured stone niches. Built-in loungers along the wall offer a shaded spot to relax.
Villa Versailles wraps an L-shaped plan around a pool courtyard, applying the arches and rough white stone of the Mediterranean to a Modern Tropical villa for Bali. The living room and ground-floor bedrooms open onto the courtyard through timber-framed sliding glass, and wide stone steps lead down into the pool.
Much of the upper level is terrace. A timber pergola with a slatted roof and woven blinds covers an outdoor kitchen with a green-tiled bar and grill. Beside it sit a dining table with woven chairs and an L-shaped bench lounge set into the wall. Arched openings in the parapet frame the palms, and between them, arched niches are lined with the same rough white stone.
The four-bedroom plan keeps coming back to the arch indoors, in arched timber doors and in stone-lined niches behind the beds, and one bedroom is drawn with a cot. Ceilings are crossed with exposed timber beams and the kitchen island is faced in vertical timber slats. The bathrooms pair rough stone walls with freestanding tubs and brushed brass taps.
