Villa Amala Type B

Two-bedroom Villa Amala Type B, 135m² build. Same overall plan as Type A but in a darker palette - heavy timber and black steel rather than the lighter beige finish. Built 2023.

Of the two Amala layouts, Type B is the darker one. Its upper floor is a white box faced with vertical timber battens either side of a wide glass front, and planters along the edge drop long strands of greenery over the terrace below. At ground level the kitchen and living room open fully to a pool lined in green stone, with a timber deck, loungers and a hammock strung between the palms.

The lounge is sunk into a polished concrete floor, with fixed sofas around a timber slab table and a long concrete ledge for the television against a charcoal wall. Behind it, a black steel staircase with timber treads climbs in front of a tall steel-framed window onto a planted light well. Woven pendants hang over the dining table, with the kitchen just behind.

The two bedrooms have woven headboard walls and glass onto the garden, and the bathroom places a freestanding terrazzo bath beneath a slatted window, beside a glass-screened shower. Grey plaster, stone-tiled walls and heavy timber keep the palette in greys and browns. It is a Modern Tropical villa design for a compact plot in Bali, sharing its plan with Type A.
