Casita Hitam

Casita Hitam beautifully embraces the boldness of black within its Tulum-style design. The bedroom, adorned with galam wood ceilings and roster terracotta walls, centres around the bed, creating an intimate atmosphere amidst the black-themed 1-bed cabin ambiance.

Casita Hitam is one room under a flat dark roof, raised on a low base clad in dark stone. Glass runs down both long sides, with sheer white curtains to draw across it, and a perforated black screen closes one end. In front of that screen, a hanging egg chair sits on a timber deck at the edge of the pool.

The bed stands in the middle of the room against a low rendered wall. Behind it, the wardrobe and open shelving are lit with warm strips, so storage becomes a backdrop and the sleeping area remains clear. Overhead, a dark galam wood ceiling follows the rafters up to a fan at the peak, and black woven pendants hang on either side of the bed.

The pool runs across the front of the cabin with an infinity edge and green stone tiles, and two loungers sit on a shallow ledge in the water. The renders set the casita among tall palms beside an open rice field. Bathing is split between a concrete-walled bathroom with a rain shower and a dark stone tub out in the garden. It is a one-bedroom Tulum-style design of 92 m² on a 162 m² plot, with everything focused on a single room and its garden.
